2013 ConSePS

The Social Projects Selection Contest [ConSePS] has been carried out by the Faculty of Engineering of Sorocaba [Facens] since 2007. In its past editions, 22 organizations in Sorocaba and Votorantim were awarded.

Through a partnership established in 2013 with Facens, IAHB participated in the restructuring process of ConSePS’ seventh edition, with the goal of helping to strengthen the non-profit sector in Sorocaba and surrounding areas, as well as encourage civil society organizations to obtain qualification. The main changes implemented to the contest in 2013 were:

• Increase on prizes’ individual amount, from R$ 10,000.00 to R$ 15,000.00 to three social organizations;
• Changes in the contest’s call notice to optimize the process;
• Offer of a 5-hour capacity-training workshop, to help participants improve expertise and practice on project design and presentation.

IAHB’s insights for Conseps’ seventh edition, in 2013, directly impacted 15 social organizations, 30 professionals and volunteers working for such institutions, and approximately 2,756 indirect beneficiaries assisted by them.
